European car models should be serviced by qualified mechanics who are familiar with foreign vehicle models. Learn about some of the basic services that are included with a standard tune-up. Then, contact one of our mechanics at Nür Technik to schedule an appointment.
Tune-Up Services
Your European car should be serviced annually. One of our mechanics will prepare a tune-up schedule that will keep your vehicle in excellent shape.
Brake Line And Fluid Check
Each brake line should be checked for leaks. During a routine appointment, a mechanic will ensure that each line is damage-free. If a leak is detected, a mechanic will replace any materials that have been compromised. The brake fluid within your vehicle will also be inspected.
Exposure to moisture or heat could alter the consistency of the fluid. Outside elements could contaminate the fluid, making it necessary for a fluid flush to be conducted. A fluid flush is used to eliminate the fluid that is currently under a vehicle’s hood. Once the flush is complete, new brake fluid will be dispensed into the brake fluid reservoir.
Tire Inspection
The tires on your European vehicle should be thoroughly inspected. One of our mechanics will ensure that each tire is damage-free. If your vehicle has been difficult to handle, or if it tends to pull to one side of the road, the tires may need to be rotated or balanced.
A mechanic will use modern equipment to perform a rotation or balancing service. If your vehicle needs new tires, you can select from the line of tire products that we feature. All weather tires and seasonal tires are equipped to provide your vehicle with the traction needed to remain safe while driving on paved and unpaved surfaces.
Oil Change
The motor oil under your hood is responsible for lubricating metal parts that are attached to the engine. The lubrication prevents the motor from overheating.
During a tune-up, one of our mechanics will inspect the oil level. They will determine if the motor oil is dirty. If the oil needs to be changed, the filter, oil pan, motor oil, and other essential materials will be supplied.
Electrical System
The electrical system is connected to the HVAC unit, lights, stereo, and other electrical materials. The wiring that is attached to the electrical system will be inspected. If any damaged wiring is detected, one of our mechanics will replace it.
The mechanic may use diagnostic testing equipment to determine if the electrical system is operating at full capacity. If the equipment detects an issue, it will be addressed during the tune-up.
Transmission
The transmission is responsible for shifting gears. If your vehicle has been getting poor mileage, the transmission may need to be serviced. If you have been having trouble shifting gears, the transmission may also need to be repaired.
A transmission check will include inspecting the transmission fluid. The gearbox, wiring, and other parts that are attached to the transmission will be inspected.
Automotive Glass
The windshield and side panels will be inspected for chips and cracks. If any severe damage is detected, it may be necessary for a new piece of automotive glass to be installed.
If minor damage is detected, one of our mechanics can patch the glass. An epoxy product can be used to fill in small chips and cracks. Once the glass is repaired, the epoxy will require some time to dry.
